Phil Symchych, the founder and president of Symco & Co., grew up in a family business which owned a seasonal hotel. Every year his parents, aunt, and uncle headed off to the accountant’s office expecting some business advice. Every year they came back with historical financial statements, compliance tax returns and no advice or perspectives on how to grow their business.
We believe the accounting industry has some significant challenges in providing proactive advice at a time of the year when many accountants are overly busy preparing historical financial statements and compliance tax returns. It was this insight about lack of service and obvious business need that drove Phil to build a business model that exclusively served entrepreneurs’ needs for proactive, creative business advice to help them grow their businesses, reduce their risk, and enjoy life more than they thought possible.
