Succession planning starts in one of four places: the kitchen, boardroom, hospital emergency room or funeral home. Which room do you plan to be in? What are you waiting for?

Seven out of ten businesses will transition ownership in the next ten years, yet only one has a written succession plan, according to the CFIB. This means that most entrepreneurs are taking unnecessary risks with their business wealth, often their largest retirement asset, and exposing their families to potential stress, hardship and loss of wealth.

Starting is easier than you may think. It’s also critical to protecting your business equity and building your personal wealth.

The workshop will focus on both parts of succession planning: management and ownership. We take a ‘divide and conquer’ perspective to simplify the complex parts, identify critical steps, determine gaps, and create action plans to bridge the gaps. We separate the emotional aspects of your business ownership role from the logical components of management so that you can develop and implement separate strategies. Too many people try and do both at the same time.
